ReplyDeleteI'm sad to hear that any HR consultant expects HR heads to take our words, recommendation and advice as the "gospel truth." This person should never have been a consultant if that was their opinion. We earn our keep every day by being strategic partners but we must earn the right to do so. Consultants have never been the source of "truth" - we provide value by knowing our clients and applying insight to their situation.
Frankly, I'm glad the unnamed person you quoted is no longer in HR consulting. The quote is absolutely ludicrous.
BTW - was there a problem with non-blogger comments?
