Does anyone know in detail about IBM's innovation services? It's funny because none of the other big consulting firms ever say they help their clients be innovative.
Firstly, I think this line is being adopted by IBM everywhere not just in India.
Regarding the line itself, it is a little cheesy but what you need to look at this as: CIOs and companies are moving beyond looking at just cost saving measures and are now looking at IT as a serious competitive advantage. Therefore I think this positioning by IBM makes sense and it reflects the mindset change in its customer set.
Every company worth its salt is now saying that you cannot have 60% of your IT budget going for maintainence activities and they should focus more on the innovation projects.
I think it's yet another symbol that IBM is still showing the way for all IT services companies.
