On the eve of India celebrating its 59 Independence Day, it is somehow apt that an Indian woman has become CEO of a global food and beverage behemoth like the $ 33 billion PepsiCo.
The 50 year old Nooyi is an alumnus of IIM Calcutta and has worked earlier at Motorola, BCG, Johnson & Johnson. (via)

Indra Nooyi's decision to acquire Tropicana and Quaker Oats is smart business decision. Thats where the future lies.
ReplyDeleteits gr8 news to indian youth!!
ReplyDeleteis there any relation with currnt controversys in india on these bevarages?
Anon 1 - Thanks for the insight. If Indra is one of the drivers of Pepsi's move towards wellness rather than sugary soda pop then that's great news !
ReplyDeleteAnon 2 - I don't think there is any relation to this controversy. Indra has been CFO at Pepsi for some time and has been incharge of Finance, Strategy and IT. So she deserves it...controversy or no controversy !
