Recruit.net builds in salary research

Interesting move by Recruit.net. For their Indian and Australian site they have a new functionality for people to research salaries.

As their blog says:

we have partnered with Payscale.com to provide our users with a simple, one click solution to deliver indicative salary information for job listings which interest them.

How it works is that every time you search for a job, the summary search result page will have a “Research Salary” link next to each ad summary. Clicking on that link will prompt you with a region-specific annual salary bracket in local currency for that role or its closes approximation.

That would be very interesting. However, if the job listing does not provide what kind of salary it is offering, would it help?
