In Gurgaon I met up with a senior of mine who is the country manager of a firm that is a SMS services company, called Value First.
In fact they have a full page talking about how text messaging can help organizations connect with their next generational employees.
As mobile communication becomes more and more ubiquitous, companies who can talk the talk of their employees will have a significant advantage over others who cannot.
The cliche comes to mind - the medium is the message.
An organization that communicates effectively through texting is effectively saying "we young, we're cool, and we're like you"
Read how mobile phones is impacting romance in India on my other blog (hat-tip: Veer). Also take a look at how blogging could really go mobile. Update: Seems like there is already a service like that called SMS GupShup by Webaroo !
